From today (6 April 2020) the Residence Nil Rate Band (RNRB) is increased to £175,000 per person, up from £150,000 per person.
This remains transferable between married couples and civil partners so the total RNRB available may be £350,000 in some cases.
Please bear this new figure in mind as it will affect any allowances you may claim under Inheritance Tax rules.
